With a Ph.D. in Electronic Engineering and years of experience leading cutting-edge technology and sensor projects, I have always been passionate about building connections between people and technology. But as an educator and mother of two, I realized that true discovery doesn’t happen through a screen—it happens with our hands, our senses, and each other.

Inspired by Dr. Jonathan Haidt’s Phone-Free Childhood and TAG movement, I founded Dr. Tao Academy in Camas to give young students a vibrant space to step away from devices and dive into real-world science, engineering and entrepreneurship. In our small-group programs, students don’t just observe; they build, test, and problem-solve together through face-to-face communication, active collaboration, and tactile exploration. My goal is to nurture creative, confident and curious thinkers who learn to connect deeply with both the real world and the peers around them.
